A site owner is using this. Its' use is to totally manage the content of the
site. It is template driven. It has a LOT of capabilities on manipulating the
appearance of the site. - Have a look at the online demo for more details.
Shadows Admin Control Panel
What it does, is that it creates Shadows Sites parts on a specific
location. That is, it creates sites for users, and those users can use their own
Shadows Site to manage them. The idea behind this is that the owner of a Domain
will use the Shadows Admin in order to create sites for users on that Domain.
There is also a banner manager. That is, the Domain owner decides on a per site
basis if that site will have banners displayed on top or/and at the bottom of
the pages. The Domain owner controls those banners. Additionally, the Domain
owner can place an online signup page that will automate the registration of new
users. Amongst others, one more functionality is the capability of controlling
how many pages one site will create. Have a look at the online demo to see all
those in action.
Shadows Central Control Panel
There can be ONLY ONE on a Server (as in terms of a machine). It has
obviously the capabilities of the Shadows Admin, plus a couple more. What it
does more, is that the Owner can use it to create many Shadows Admin
parts into different domains on the same server. That only thing that has to
be done earlier is to change the permissions into the relevant location.
So, the idea behind the software is this: The Server owner installs the
software on the server. Using the Shadows Software could either:
- enable simple users (without their own Domain) to create their site. - So
hosting customers will have a site builder
- enable Domain owners to build their site using Shadows Site (simple
account into a different Domain)
- enable Domain owners to run a free or not pages program using Shadows
Admin (advanced account into a different Domain)
